The Mexican President Enrique Pena Nyeton has apologized to the citizens for the scandal that took place two years ago in connection with his wife’s house purchase that costed $ 7 million, reports the Russian Service of BBC.

According to him, though neither him nor his wife have violated the law, the purchase of the mansion, in any way , was wrong . "Public servants are responsible for the lifestyle they create by their deeds , in that sense, I admit that she has  made a mistake," he said.

The scandal arose in November of 2014 , after the journalists found out that  the President's wife , who was formerly known as an actress, Ankhelika Rivera , bought a house in a wealthy district of Mexico.
