Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry had a phone conversation to discuss Syrian conflict settlement, Russian Foreign Ministry reported.

The sides talked about the steps of  Russia and the U.S. directed to assistance to tthe settlement of the conflict in Syria and suppression of the terrorist groups operating there as well as development of the agreements reached during recent visit of the Secretary of State to Moscow. 

It is noted that the conversation was initiated by the American side.
