Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will meet in early August, in a city in Russia.

Dmitry Peskov, the Russian presidential spokesperson, informed about the above-said, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.

“The Putin-Erdoğan meeting is being prepared through diplomatic channels,” said Peskov. “We agreed that this meeting will take place in the first ten days of August, in the Russian Federation, but the [host] city and date are yet unknown.”

The Russian presidential spokesperson, however, dismissed the information that this talk is planned to be held in Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan.

“Trilateral meeting of the Russian, Azerbaijani, and Iranian presidents is planned in Baku,” Dmitry Peskov clarified.
