YEREVAN. – Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian on Thursday received U.S. Congressman Jim Costa.

Welcoming the guest, Minister Nalbandian highly assessed the Armenian-American friendly partnership, joint efforts to develop it. In this respect, Armenia's Foreign Minister stressed the importance of active cooperation between the two countries and expressed gratitude to Jim Costa for his efforts to recognize the Armenian Genocide.

Expressing gratitude for the reception, Congressman Costa said that he is happy to visit Armenia and get first-hand information and the opportunity to exchange views on regional problems and ways of their solution after years of supporting important issues for the Armenian people in U.S. Congress.

The sides discussed wide range of issues referring to the Armenian-American cooperation.

Congressman Costa and Minister Nalbandian exchanged views on regional issues.

Jim Costa, Edward Nalbandian presented Armenia’s efforts on the settlement of Karabakh conflict and overcoming the consequences of large-scale military operations launched by Azerbaijan against Artsakh in April.

Mr. Costa said that the US, as an OSCE Minsk Group co-chair country, will continue efforts aimed at conflict resolution through negotiations.
