The Ukrainian MFA has sent a note of protest in connection with the uncoordinated arrival of the Russian PM Dmitry Medvedev in the Ukrainian territory. The mentioned note of protest has been sent to the Russian agency, UNN reports.

The subsequent “visit of the Russian Federation officials to the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, which is the integral part of Ukraine, indicates the continuous disregard by the Russian side of the UN Charter, UN General Assembly Resolution, Baku Declaration and UN Parliamentary Assembly resolutions, [as well as] other principles and norms of international law.”

“The autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol were, are and will remain the territory of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders. This is recognized by the entire world, which gave proper assessment to the actions of the Russian side and continues to apply relevant restrictive measures. Therefore, the attempts of the Russian officials to interpret such “visits” to Ukraine as interstate trips are negligible,” the MFA statement reads.
