Russia-US-UN trilateral meeting on Syria has started in Geneva, RIA Novosti reported.

On the eve it was reported in the US diplomatic mission in Geneva that preparation for a new round of the inter-Syrian negotiations will be discussed at a meeting. U.S. diplomats noted that discussion of a ceasefire regime is not the purpose of the trilateral meeting, but concerns will be expressed.

Moscow, in turn, hopes that approach to the Syrian settlement will be coordinated.
