YEREVAN. - The staff of Armenia’s Human Rights Defender’s Office continues its work in 24-hour regime.

As of now, at the instruction of the Ombudsman the staff representatives have visited the Penitentiary Clinic of the Armenian Health Ministry and the Facility for Keeping Detainees of the Armenian Police Yerevan Department.

Earlier, the Human Rights Defender’s Office announced that they have received alerts about persons detained from Yerevan’s Khorenatsi street at night. There was also an alert on a presence of a minor among the detainees, but this information hasn’t yet been confirmed.

The Ombudsman’s staff is carrying out corresponding actions based on the alerts.
