YEREVAN. - Sansa Tsrer armed group member Pavel Manukyan is still at Yerevan’s Erebouni Medical Center. His condition is critical but stable, Head of the Center’s Intensive Care Unit Armen Muradyan told Armenian News – NEWS.am Thursday.

The doctor found it difficult to answer how long will Manukyan still have to stay in their hospital.

Asked how can Manukyan go on a hunger strike in that condition, Muradyan noted: “I cannot say anything about the hunger strike announcement. The patient is in a post-operation stage, and we usually do not permit the patient to eat during that period. As to the announcement, I can’t say anything. I’m not aware,” Muradyan said.

Earlier, the Health Ministry press-service informed that Pavlik Manukyan can already breathe on his own but is in the Intensive Care Unit, since he still needs treatment.

According to the statement issued by the police, Pavlik Manukyan and his son sustained injuries in their legs as a result of the shootout in the Erebuni police station. Aram Manukyan is now in the hospital for inmates.
