YEREVAN. - The rainy weather thwarted the plans of the protestors who gathered in Yerevan’s Liberty Square and then blocked the start of Baghramyan Avenue.

Heritage Party representative Armen Martirosyan announced that they first planned to stage a protest at the start of Baghramyan Avenue, and then march to Khorenatsi street. They managed the first part, but marching to Khorenatsi was not possible because of the rain.

Nevertheless, the struggle will not stop. “The struggle should not stop. For this purpose it is necessary to go home now, warm up and again gather in Liberty Square tomorrow,” Martirosyan said, noting that they will again show disobedience.

The crowd gathered in Liberty Square is now dispersing, Armenian News - NEWS.am correspondent reports.

Earlier, rally was staged in Liberty Square, following which the crowd moved to Baghramyan Avenue, where the police had concentrated its forces. The protestors got wet in the rain for over an hour, after which they returned to Liberty Square.
