YEREVAN. - The medical workers who have been held hostage in Yerevan’s seized police station for already the second day, were handed food and medicines Thursday.

Director of Ambulance CJSC Taguhi Stepanyan told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am.

“We handed food to our doctors, as well as medicines, ordinary medicines, which are always present in the ambulance trucks,” Stepanyan said.

She also noted that there are two wounded inside the police station, one of whom needs to be operated on. Sansa Tsrer armed group is demanding to send surgeons instead of medical workers, who will operate in the area of the regiment.

The law enforcement authorities haven’t agreed yet. In Stepanyan’s words, there are no necessary conditions inside either.

Earlier, the Health Ministry issued another statement once again urging the armed group to set free the medical workers taken hostage without any preconditions.
