Intelligence agencies prevented a terrorist attack which Talibs planned to carry out at a stadium in Badghis province in the northwest of Afghanistan.

The staff of the National Security Agency (NSA) stopped a child with explosive device on his body at the entrance of the stadium. As Interfax reported quoting NSA, the member of terrorist group Taliban Abdul Aziz attached to the body of a 12-year-old boy an improvised explosive device which should have been set in motion with the remote control in a crowd during wrestling competition at the stadium of the city of Kala-je Nau which is the administrative center of the province.

Intelligence agencies of Afghanistan note that terrorist groups often use children for acts of terrorism in the territory of the country. Earlier, 17-year-old suicide bomber, who was trained for terrorist attacks in the capital, as well as 12-year-old child who was to commit suicide bombing in Jalalabad, were arrested in Kabul.
