YEREVAN. - Over 60 people have been charged in the framework of the Sasna Tsrer case, Armenian News – NEWS.am sources report.

According to the information available, 47 of them are people who have either entered the territory of the seized police station or are charged with assisting the armed group members.

The case launched against Founding Parliament opposition group leader Jirair Sefilian several months ago, which has been joined with this case, includes nine defendants.

The case launched against five members of the Founding Parliament last January – including Gevorg Safaryan, Jirair Sefilian, Garegin Chookaszian, Pavlik Manukyan and Varuzhan Avetisyan - was also added to it.

27 people are charged with participating in and organizing mass unrest during the clashes in Yerevan’s Sari Tagh district and Khorenatsi street.

An investigative group has been set up in the Special Investigation Service of Armenia. According to the available information, the group includes several dozens of investigators.
