Armenian businessman Aram Petrosyan, who is charged with taking over the Citibank branch in downtown Moscow, has gone on hunger strike, Gazeta.ru reports, citing Moscow news agency.

“From this day on I am going on a hunger strike,” Petrosyan said.

Earlier, Presensky district court of Moscow decided to arrest Armenian businessman Aram Petrosyan, who seized the Citibank branch in downtown Moscow on Wednesday, for two months.

Petrosyan had later released the hostages and surrendered to the police.
