YEREVAN. – The constitutional amendments in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh) are aimed at maintaining power.
Armenian political analyst Armen Grigoryan said the aforementioned at Monday’s discussion on these amendments that are expected in Artsakh.
As per Grigoryan, this is a worrisome factor.
“No one has substantiated the need for constitutional changes in Nagorno-Karabakh,” stressed the analyst.
He added that these amendments may create another threat for Artsakh.
The concept of NKR constitutional amendments, which was made public on August 16, proposes a transition to a presidential system of governance in the country.
