Microsoft successfully cooperates with the Armenian Government in the framework of the Government Security Program, head of the Chief Cybersecurity Officer at Microsoft Central and Eastern Europe subdivision, Daniel Grabski, told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

Armenia signed the agreement on the participation in Government Security in May 2015, whereas the program has been implemented worldwide since 2003, in cooperation with national governments. Microsoft shares with them the information on the types of cyberthreats, which are especially dangerous for the governmental websites and state services.

Apart from this, Microsoft provides them access to its resources in the framework of the Transparency Center.

''The decision to open the center was adopted after Edward Snowden's case. Information was then disseminated on that most IT companies, including Microsoft, have backdoors, through which state organizations can watch the end users.  And we took 100 per cent transparency measures, stating to our governmental clients that if they have doubts in the security of the systems, we invite them to analyze the source code and carry out stress tests to check their system stability. Our specialists can help them in doing that.

In this way, we disclose information at a very great depth so that our partners can see that Microsoft can be relied on,'' Grabski stated.

Moreover, the company invites state body delegations to its headquarters in Redmond, presenting them the midterm tendencies in cybersecurity.
