YEREVAN. - President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Wednesday received in his residence the medalists of general education institutions of 2015-16 academic year, as well as students who achieved success in international subject olympiads     and winners of Kenguru international mathematics and Meghu Armenian language competitions.

Sargsyan responded to the questions of the participants, Armenian President's press-service reports. Following this, gifts, medals and certificates from the President and Education Minister were handed to the graduates and students.

The President welcomed his small guests, congratulating them on their achievements and wishing them good luck.

''This year the Armenian students won 15 awards, including 1 gold, 3 silver and 11 bronze medals at the international subject olympiads. This is, of course, a remarkable achievement and I am sincerely happy that during the recent 8-10 years our students are returning from such olympiads with 15-20 medals. The students of Physical-Mathematical (PhysMath) School alone are getting more awards than the neighboring Georgia and Azerbaijan taken together,'' Sargsyan noted.
