The Italian experts analyzed data received from satellites and GPS stations . As a result, they concluded that in certain areas the mountain has grown by 3-4 centimeters.

The preliminary analyzes show that the range of the quake covers 18 km, which runs from north - northwest to south - southeast .  “The movement of this fault has caused an extension of the Apennine range of about 3-4 centimeters between the Tyrrhenian and Adriatic seas,” said the experts .
