A 5.7 magnitude earthquake hit northwestern Tanzania on Saturday, RIA Novosti reports, citing the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

The quake was recorded at about 12:27 pm. The epicenter was located 23 km far from Nsunga settlement. The earthquake focus was recorded at a depth of 10 km.
