The residents of Hanrapetutyun street that was recognized as a national priority do not believe that the new MP will solve their housing problems.  Knarik Arakelyan in an interview with the News.am tells that they have been fighting for more than 8 years. They heard different promises from different officials , however , are still without a roof .

" By firing one, and proving a position for another, our issues will not be solved. People do not believe that he will change anything,  since the people who destroyed our houses  are still working under him," said Knarik .

One of the residents Valentina noted that Hovik Abrahamyan,  the former prime minister, met them and promised to solve their problems within a short period of time , but no avail. "A new prime minister, a new government – it’s all the same. They all make promises , but do not fulfill them. That’s the reason we have been here in front of the government house for several years . This is the attitude they display in our regard; I do not think that anything will change. "

As reported earlier, in 2008 the houses in Firdus and Hanrapetutyun streets were recognized as a national priority and demolished. The residents were promised to be compensated in three years .
