YEREVAN. – The government is negotiating with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), with respect to implementing investment projects for the provincial towns of Armenia.

Vache Terteryan, First Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Development, on Tuesday stated the aforesaid. He noted this as he introduced, at the National Assembly special session, the bill on Financial Leveling.

In his words, the Armenian government is preparing proposals for ADB, toward funding infrastructure development projects in Gyumri and seven or eight other provincial towns.

“We hope that this [project] will increase the appeal of the [Armenian provincial] towns, and promote entrepreneurial liveliness there,” added Terteryan.
