The implementation of the Amulsar gold mine deal will create hundreds of jobs in Armenia, over the next decade.

Bridget Brink, Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs at the US Department of State, stated the aforementioned at an evening reception in the US, and devoted to the 25th anniversary of Armenia’s independence.

The US official noted that, last week in New York, they discussed, with Acting Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, the impressive progress Armenia has achieved over the course of these 25 years. She stated that Armenia has passed a very long road in a relatively short period of time. Brink added that the US is proud to have assisted Armenia on this road, and that it expects to increase partnership.

The US State Department official also reflected on the large-scale cooperation projects that are planned for the coming years. In this connection, she stressed, in particular, that the implementation of the Amulsar gold mine deal will create hundreds of jobs in Armenia, over the next decade.

Brink also spoke about Armenia-US collaboration at international platforms. She added that the US lauds Armenia’s devotion to a pacific settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and adheres to a comprehensive settlement by way of talks.
