YEREVAN. – Political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Armenia and Georgia were held Wednesday at the MFA of Georgia, in capital city Tbilisi.

The Armenian and Georgian delegations were led by Deputy Foreign Ministers Shavarsh Kocharyan and Gigi Gigiadze, respectively.

The sides discussed the current situation in bilateral political, trade and economic relations and the prospects for their development, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The agenda of the consultations focused on the deepening of cooperation in transport, energy, culture, and education. Moreover, the necessity of cataloging the existing legal field was stressed.

The interlocutors also touched upon the avenues for the intensification of cooperation within the framework of international organizations, and exchanged views on a wide range of regional and international matters.
