YEREVAN. - Adding the word ‘repatriation’ to the title of the Diaspora Ministry will stress the functions of that agency.

The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) MP Tachat Vardapetyan said the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am Saturday.

“Israel has such a ministry. This country has a large Diaspora and its experience is positive. The key thing in the Diaspora Ministry is repatriation, and this should be stressed,” Vardapetyan said.  

The proposal to rename the Diaspora Ministry into Ministry of Diaspora and Repatriation was made by Armenian Parliament Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov.
