Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA), the agency that regulates the activities of Pakistan's electronic media, on Saturday announced its decision to stop broadcasting "illegal Indian news channels," reports ANI.

The ban will enter into force from October 15. Tough measures will be applied towards cable television broadcasting. Earlier, the Pakistani army announced that India bombarded the part of Kashmir area that is under its control. Islamabad announced that the Indian militaries violated the ceasefire, due to which 2 Pakistani soldiers were killed. In response, the Indian army said that it was a point shooting along the control line. Pakistan, in its turn, qualified Indian’s actions as aggression and said that it was a regular shooting.
