YEREVAN. - During the next PACE session, the heads of the Armenian and Azerbaijani delegations will meet and discuss the issue of not turning PACE into a Karabakh conflict confrontation platform.

Head of the Armenian delegation to PACE, Hermine Naghdalyan, told the aforementioned to journalists in the National Assembly (NA) Monday.

“We had a meeting with PACE President Mr. Agramunt and discussed the issue that PACE has and can have no influence on topics which are especially close to the members of both delegations - the Karabakh issue and others - due to which the PACE platform continuously turns into a battlefield for both sides. Mr Agramunt came up with an initiative to organize a meeting between the heads of Armenian and Azerbaijani delegations at the next session, during which we will discuss our further work style in order to avoid such confrontations,”Naghdalyan said.

Naghdalyan also noted that statements of accusatory nature should be ruled out and not become subject of discussion at PACE.
