U.S. presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump exchanged the next portion of bites at annual Alfred E Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner. U.S. major presidential candidates have been attending this dinner since the 1960s and in turn publicly make fun of each other.

During his performance Trump said that this was the first time that Hillary was in the same room with heads of large corporations and they did not pay her. He said this hinting at Clinton's ties with large corporations, BBC reported.

Clinton also joked about herself, opening her speech with the words that she had to interrupt her regular breaks for sleep in order to appear at the dinner.

During the campaign there were many rumors about state of her health, especially after she felt ill at a ceremony devoted to the 15th anniversary of attack on the World Trade Center in New York on September 11, 2001.
