YEREVAN. – Armenian jewelers have long been proclaimed in the world, and Armenia continues to develop these traditions.

President Serzh Sargsyan on Wednesday stated the aforesaid at the official opening of the World Jewellery Confederation (CIBJO) 2016 annual congress in capital city Yerevan.

In his words, Armenia attaches great importance to hosting this event, and Armenian masters have greatly contributed to the development of jewelry in the world.

“Jewelry production is among the main branches in modern-day Armenia,” added the President. “For the past several years, Armenia [likewise] marks the National Jewelry Day. There is even Jewelers’ Street in Yerevan.”
