On October 25, several fires occurred in the migrant camp near Calais, where the French police has been evacuating refugees for three days continually. Four Afghans have been arrested on suspicion of setting fires, reports the AFP. There is no information yet about the victims from the fires. The local authorities explain the incident as a tradition for some peoples to burn their houses before leaving. The government promised to complete the evacuation of migrants from the “jungles” of Calais by the end of the day. The French police and immigration services managed to bring more than four thousand people out of Calais in the last two days. More than thousand migrants still stay in the jungle so far.

Refugees need to formally apply to receive migrants’ status to be moved to special migrant camps in France. However, many of them prefer get to the UK by possible all means. As the authorities inform, there are more than eight thousand refugees who live in the camps.
