YEREVAN. – In 2019, the energy systems’ control center of Armenia will be the best among the former Soviet Union countries.

Areg Galstyan, Deputy Minister of Energy Infrastructure and Natural Resources, on Thursday stated the above-said in Parliament, as he introduced the draft amendments to the Law on Energy.

In his words, there will be an information gathering and management system in all energy substations of the country.

As per the official, this system will make automated operational decisions regarding the connection or disconnection of an energy facility; and this will take less than one second.

“We are getting full data now, as well,” added Galstyan. “It’s just that we will have a new system in two to three years.”
