YEREVAN. - French Veolia company has become the single water supplier in Armenia.

Chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) of Armenia, Robert Nazaryan, stated the aforementioned in the parliament Thursday, speaking at the discussion on PSRC’s activity in 2017.

The company will lease the water supply networks, which are still leased by Yerevan Djur (Veolia’s subsidiary) - Armenian Water and Sewerage CJSC, Shirak Water and Sewerage CJSC, Lori Water and Sewerage CJSC and Nor Akunk.

The operator will work for 15 years starting from 2017. The tariffs should be corrected every year based on currency rates, energy cost and other factors. “Soon a common tariff will be announced. Today the Government’s interagency Committee confirmed the network’s lessee. The tariff which is to be announced soon has also been confirmed,” Nazaryan noted.
