The Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and the US Secretary of State John Kerry discussed the Syrian conflict on the phone, writes the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry. The telephone conversation took place on the initiative of the American side. " The foreign policy chiefs continued discussing ways of settling the Syrian conflict, including the normalization of the situation around Aleppo, taking into consideration the fundamental approaches adopted in the Russian-US agreements, which had been previously reached. For that purpose, the United States should ultimately separate moderate opposition (in Syria) from terror groups," writes the Russian Foreign Ministry. Kerry and Lavrov also discussed the crises in Libya and Yemen and separate issues of the bilateral agenda.
