The Prosecutor General’s Office of Armenia has provided new details on the case into detention of a judge of General Jurisdiction Court of Yerevan’s Shengavit administrative district, Ishkan Barseghyan.

The case was launched in the Special Investigative Service of Armenia into the fact of receiving bribe, the press-service of the Prosecutor General’s Office reports. Baghdasaryan was detained on the same day.

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Armenia came up with a motion to the Justice Council on Barseghyan’s arrest and his involvement as a defendant.

As reported earlier, the judge demanded money for solving a civil case. He personally received an amount of $1,000 in one of the pedestrian crossings of Yerevan. National Security Service officers watched the handing of the bribe.
