There can be no issue of secondary importance at the Ministry of Justice. Rather, all the issues are of primary importance, the newly appointed Minister of Justice of Armenia Hrair Tovmasyan told NEWS.am.

“I will deal with all issues of the Ministry on the very first day of my office. I will never be an official seeking short-term solutions,” Tovmasyan said. He will do his best to form systems that would efficiently operate if the minister is replaced.

Asked to comment on the fact that his predecessor Gevorg Danielyan was dismissed because of Chief of the Enforcement Service Migran Poghosyan, who has so far retained his post, Minister Tovmasyan said: “The official was held responsible by the minister. A person cannot be held responsible twice for the same offence.” The Minister added that it is only the Armenian President that has the right to appoint or dismiss the chief of the RA Enforcement Service.
