Armenia and India will set up Telecommunication Center (Center of Excellence) to develop cooperation in information technology.

The project is coordinated by Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) by the Armenian side, whereas Midak organization from the Indian side.

“Computing technologies are very important in the modern world in terms of a scientific research,” EIF director Bagrat Yengibaryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am-Innovation. According to him, a tender will be issued for the reconstruction of a building in the territory of Yerevan State University till the end of the year.

The centre will operate in the territory of Yerevan State University and will occupy an area of 300 m2.  For this purpose, the Armenian government will allocate U.S. $ 1 million.

The Armenian side should provide conditions and area, whereas Indian side-literature, technology, including supercomputers Param and software.
