There is no confrontation between the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) and the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), Armenian Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan told journalists February 7.

"The two political forces just have differences over some issues, but they do not have any serious problems. The coalition memorandum signed by the three ruling parties in 2007 is still in effect, and they are working in line with this document. I do not see any threats to date," Abrahamyan said. Nevertheless, he called on the coalition members to exercise tact in making statements. "The ones insulting one another must be called to account," Abrahamyan said.

Armenian News-NEWS.am reminds readers that RPA and PAP representatives have regular clashes, with insults and recriminations.
