The mayor of the French city of Valence Alain Maurice sent a letter to Charles Aznavour to get his official permission to name the park of 420m2 with benches and green area of 130 m2 after his name. The area is located opposite the center of Armenian heritage. Hundreds of Armenian Genocide survivors arrived in this “historical Armenian quarter” of the city in the early 1920’s, Nouvelles d `Armenie reports.

Alain Maurice presented his city and offered to specify the opening day of the park for the singer to attend it. The park will be completed in early spring.
