On 28 January 2010, Yale University and Columbia University released the 2010 Environmental Performance Index ranking 163 countries.

Armenia ranks 76th, Georgia 59th and Azerbaijan 84th.

Among the leaders are Iceland, Switzerland and Costa Rica, which ranks 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively.
