Events commemorating the Armenian Genocide will be held in six Turkish cities on April 24.

The initiators are organizers of last year’s “Forgive Us, Armenians” campaign, Turkish studies expert Ruben Melkonyan said at today’s press conference in Yerevan.

The expert considers these events are important adding that a small part of Turkish society shares these ideas. Ruben Melkonyan stressed organizers of such events promoteTurkey’s interests. “We welcome such events but Ankara is to get benefit,” he concluded.
