Libyan oppositional forces attacked Turkey’s Consulate and ship in the Libyan city of Benghazi, the rebel stronghold.

Libyan insurgents removed the sign and asked to lower the Turkish flag, Turkish “Posta” newspaper reports.

“We do not need any help from Turkey,” said oppositionists, chanting anti-Turkish slogans in front of the consulate.

Anti-Turkish protests in Libya began after Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in London there was no need to arm the opposition in Libya, as it will prepare a ground for terrorism.
