YEREVAN. – Armenian MP, ARF Dashnaktsutyun member does not oppose an idea to move the capital of Armenia to Stepanakert.

Leader of ARF Dashnaktsutyun Vahan Hovhannisyan participated in discussions organized by Armenian Civilitas Foundation. When asked to comment on the initiative to move Armenian capital in Stepanakert, Vahan Hovhannisyan said he would prefer Kars, presently located in Turkey.

However, transferring capital to Stepanakert is an attractive idea, he said. At the same time, except for obstacles regarding juridical problems, the city should become really beautiful and have larger population, he added.
