Turkey waits for positive results from the meeting of Russian, Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents in Kazan, said Turkey’s envoy to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilic.

“We are ready to make all efforts towards the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Ankara wants the decision to be made in Kazan on the conflict settlement. We express our gratitude to everyone, who supports this work, including [Russian President] Dmitry Medevedev.  If we solve this problem, the other problems in the region will also be settled and Turkey-Armenia borders will be opened. The first closed door must be opened first. We are ready to make all efforts for the settlement of the conflict,” APA news agency quotes the Ambassador.

He noted that the Karabakh conflict had to be settled long ago, but this process is delayed, and as time passes, “the patience of people exhausts”.

Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier that the presidents of Russia, France and United States issued a joint statement on Nagorno-Karabakh on the sidelines of G8 Summit.

They called upon the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan to demonstrate their political will by finalizing the Basic Principles during their upcoming summit in June.
