YEREVAN. – The Armenian National Congress (ANC) hopes that the authorities will display a political will, prudence and will not refuse talks on snap elections, former political prisoner Nikol Pashinyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“I hope and believe that the authorities will display a will. If it were not for that hope, there would be no dialogue. Who believed a month ago I will be free today? Very few. Now, however, very few believe that the processes will follow the path drawn by the ANC. If a certain political force raises an issue, it should make every effort for its realization,” Pashinyan said.

Speaking at Tuesday’s rally, opposition leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan said they would form a delegation of 3-5 people and represent agenda of dialogues to the authorities. “Among our demands are snap presidential and parliamentary elections,” he noted.
