YEREVAN. - Armenian FM Edward Nalbandyan received U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russia/Ukraine/Eurasia Celeste Wallander on Monday. The sides discussed the U.S. military assistance to Armenia as well as issues on Armenia-NATO cooperation.

Emphasizing the importance of Armenia’s participation in international peacemaking campaigns, Wallander highly appraised the mission of Armenian peacemakers in Afghanistan as well as Armenia’s readiness to help with training of Afghan security forces.

The sides discussed issues of regional security. Nalbandyan gave an overview of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement process as well as details of Kazan talks, Armenian MFA press service told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
