Georgian Parliament Speaker David Bakradze held a public meeting in Akhaltsikhe. According to GHN news agency, Bakradze touched upon the employment issues, as well as improvement of water and gas supply.

He also spoke of the healthcare system and said measures will be undertaken to raise pensions.

Akhaltsikhe is a city in the Armenian-populated Samtskhe-Javakheti region of Georgia.

According to the 2002 census, about 250,000 Armenians reside in Georgia (5.6% of the population). Most of them reside in Tbilisi (82,586), Samtskhe-Javakheti (113,347) and Kvemo Kartli (31,777) regions.
