YEREVAN. – Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR) organizes on July 13-15 trip to Georgia for Armenian and Azerbaijani journalists in the frameworks of “Neighbors” project.

The project aims to reveal problems of two national minorities, Armenians and Azerbaijanis, living in Georgia’s two regions Samtskhe-Javakheti and Kvemo Kartli.

The project’s goal is to eliminate communication barriers, to establish “common information space” in the region for implementing unbiased work of media by reducing differences and prejudices.

Journalists will meet local officials, analysts, experts and NGO representatives dealing with issues of national and religious minorities. U.S. Embassy to Armenia supports implementation of the project.
