Armenian ensemble cancelled concert due to Turkish-Kurdish clashes

VAN. – Armenian Akunk ensemble cancelled the final concert in Van due to Turkish-Kurdish clashes. Folk song cultural festival was scheduled for 21-23, Prosperous Party member, Armenian MP Aragats Akhoyan told on Wednesday. He has organized the participation of Akunk in the festival.

“We received the invitation and went not as guests but as landlords to Van,” MP stated and added that the Mayor of Van had told Armenians are the owners of the land and they will preserve it sacredly.

Armenian Akunk was also to participate in the concert of closing ceremony. However, organizers were arrested and the concert was cancelled. Armenian ensemble was warmly accepted. They plan to visit Van again and implement joint projects.
