YEREVAN. - Armenia’s Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan met today Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Seyed Ali Saqqaiyan.

The Ambassador introduced the newly-appointed Iranian attaché, Colonel Hamid Reza Mirza to the minister at the meeting, the press service of Armenian MOD informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Ohanyan congratulated him on his appointment to the new post and expressed hope a new impetus will be given to Armenia-Iran defense cooperation during his tenure in office.

The Armenian Minister also thanked former Iranian attaché Ahmad Reza Allahdadi for his contribution.

During the meeting the sides also exchanged views on regional security issues.
