General Staff of the Turkish armed forces publicized the results of August 17-19 air and land attacks against PKK militants in Northern Iraq.

The statement says that the three-day air and land operations in Northern Iraq left around 90-100 Kurdish militants dead, another 80 wounded were taken to local hospitals.

All in all 80 PKK hiding shelters, 18 caves, 14 different facilities, 1 arsenal, 9 anti-aircraft installations and 3 control points suffered extensive damage, reports Turkish Hurriyet newspaper.  

Turkish armed forces started military operations in Northern Iraq after Kurdish militants blew Turkish military column in Hakkari province, which left 11 soldiers dead.
