YEREVAN. - Neither Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, nor Azerbaijan gain from the frozen conflict, whereas current status quo is pretty much advantageous for OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs (USA, Russia and France), said the director of Caucasus Institute Aleksandr Iskandaryan to a press conference on Thursday.

Iskandaryan did not rule out the possibility of increase of Russia’s influence in Minsk Group but mentioned that Russia is the best choice for South Caucasus.

The expert ruled it advantageous for Karabakh to get involved in negotiation process in any format.

“In this respect, I would not say they have done a splendid work,” he said.

Until 1998 Nagorno-Karabakh has been a full-fledged party in the negation process.
