YEREVAN. – Armenia has improved essentially on tax policy in Global Competitiveness report for 2011-2012.

Armenia improved its position by 19 points compared to last year on tax policy, occupying 65th position out of 142 states. However, it yielded by 18 points, having 74th on tax rate.

According to the head of Economy and Values research center Manuk Hergnyan, Armenia improved its position on tax policy based on the hindrance of inspections.

2010 registered such improvements as reduce of tax reports’ frequency and granting VAT exempt to the small business.
